GENERAL INFORMATION
MIXE-9070 Soft Hand Plastisol Base is a clear, press-ready plastisol which can be used either as a soft-hand additive or as a base from which to produce additional color shades.
As an additive, MIXE-9070 is used to soften the feel of the finished plastisol print, as well as to shorten the body (reduce the "stringy" characteristics) of the ink on the press. Adding MIXE-9070 to a plastisol will allow printing through finer meshes and therefore reduce the deposit of ink on the garment. This will help produce softer prints.
The recommended amount of MIXE-9070 to add is between 20-25% by weight, although good results have been reported with additions as high as 50% when printing on white or light colored garments.
Note: Adding MIXE-9070 to a plastisol will reduce the opacity level of the finished print, and is not recommended as an additive to low-bleed inks designed to block dye migration on dark cotton/polyester fabrics.
MIXE-9070 can be used as a transparent plastisol base to produce various color shades with the addition of plastisol toners, such as Union Ink's TOPL Series plastisol pigment dispersions.

I started using the Soft Hand Base and immediately noticed a softer, lighter hand in my prints without any loss of opacity. It also economizes on the use of ink by stretching the volume. Works great and will pay for itself with greater customer satisfaction.
